Aconteceu neste domingo (14.01), o Critics Choice Awards 2024, a 29ª edição da cerimônia que celebra as escolhas da crítica e que é considerada um dos principais termômetro para o Oscar no dia 10 de março.
Barbie, dirigido por Greta Gerwig, conquistou 18 indicações, estabelecendo um novo recorde na história do Critics Choice Awards. Esse recorde anteriormente pertencia aos filmes “A Forma da Água” e “Tudo em Todo Lugar ao Mesmo Tempo”, com 14 indicações cada.
Barbie, da diretora Gerwig, não só quebrou esse recorde, mas também conquistou prêmios em seis categorias: Melhor Filme de Comédia, Melhor Direção de Arte, Melhor Figurino, Melhor Roteiro Original, Melhor Cabelo e Maquiagem, além de Melhor Canção.
Oppenheimer, principal concorrente de Barbie na cerimônia do Oscar, conquistou 8 prêmios, incluindo os de Melhor Filme e Melhor Direção, os principais do evento.
